Step 1 is to throughly cleanse the paint work. A simple wash isn't enough here, with pre-soaks, iron and clay bars used to strip the paint back to its original state. In this step it's normal to see clearly the condition of the paint in its purest form.All the waxes, sealants and contamination have been possibly hiding defects in the paint.  Only then can you move onto the next step.

Once we have 'naked' paint, it's time to make it pop and shine before locking it in with a coating. Generally, a single stage polish will bring back the gloss but it's not uncommon to preform a 2 step cut & polish prior to coating. This is the most time intensive step but the end result benefits getting this step right!

Once polished and perfected, it's time to lock that gloss and shine in. Here in WA, UV protection is high on the list, as well as from swirls, hard water spots and tree fallout. A typical ceramic coating job on a sedan/hatch is 1.5 days work. That increases on larger vehicles and if there's more polishing/cutting involved, it increases again. BUT. Once completed you now have years of UV, hard water spot, iron and swirl protection.
